New Year, New Adventure
In what I am taking as a big win, I had places to go on New Year’s Eve. I took my mother to a dear friend’s Open House in the city. We had a lovely time and I met some interesting and engaging people, which is always a bonus. Then I came home and walked the dog.
Off again to an amazing friend who reached out to include me in the festivities. Laughter, fond memories, and a glorious time was enjoyed. Then I came home and walked the dog.
Off for a final visit to an epic couple for more laughs, cat therapy, and good food. Then I came home and walked the dog and thought back on the year. What was a success, what was a challenge, what I thought was a success, and what I realized maybe wasn’t so much a challenge.
And at all of my stops, I took some caramels. A gesture of love and comfort for dear friends who have been there for me. I’ve come to keep caramels in my purse, as, you never know when someone may need a little sweet.
Happy 2024 to all. May it be a phenomenal year.
